Bahira was invited to join in the RhythmXchange "Drum-Balaya" drum circle
sponsored by Josline's Cajun & Caribbean Restaurant, 404 Town & Country
Village, Sunnyvale. The Street Party started at 5 PM and went straight
on until nearly 8:30 PM. There was good food, toe-tapping rhythms, dancing
and lots of great spirit.

The restaurant provided spiced-just-right Jambalaya among other fine Cajun
and Caribbean dishes, and the proprietor, Harold, was on hand to join
in the dancing.

Patter & Kevin Marshall (with Nelson) kept the drumming on track
for the circle and wove us through many rhythms and songs.

The Group really meshed well and had lots of good energy.

Delphina joined the drummers, dancing to the various rhythms and
encouraging passers-by to join in. She even gave two budding dancers a
quick lesson and let them solo for the crowd!

Passers-By, Fringe Dwellers, babies and even the Staff joined in to the fun and beat.

Bahira's son, Doug, got into the rhythm, too.

Thank you Harold and Josline's Cajun & Caribbean Restaurant for the
opportunity to keep the world heartbeat and we hope there will be other
opportunities to play, laugh and dance in the streets of Sunnyvale!
